A traditional countryside pub nestled at the foot of the historic Cadbury Castle. We are a family owned and family run pub and one of the last non chain Freehouse pubs in Somerset. You can enjoy traditional pub food paired with a friendly pint, all in a welcoming atmosphere.

Discover the rich, local history and King Arthurian mythology that is entrenched in the area, where we have a British Heritage feature wall with displays of artefacts from the archeological digs through time.

Reservations are recommended whatever the size, but in particular for large groups. We also cater for functions and special events, give us a call to enquire further.

 

We ​are proud to host several local skittle teams in our alley and function room. If you like other pub games we also have darts and a pool table. Just ask one of our friendly bar staff.
